##24/7 Valencia: What is the concept of the exhibition ‘El dibujado’?

Paco Roca: “The exhibition speaks of the relationship between the creator and their work, a recurring theme throughout the history of art. Is there a creator without a work? Does the work live independently from its creator? What happens to the creation when the creator dies? And all of this can be regarded as a philosophical subject since, as Picasso said: “Art is life.”

So, uniting this concept with the death of the creator and work, we come to Nietzsche and Thus Spoke Zarathustra: “God is Dead.” This work is aware of that concept and seeks a meaning  for its own existence. In this case, outside the comic book’s own vignette and even outside the exhibition hall itself.”
