Chelo Peiró has published with Editorial Sargantana ‘ARROCES. 101 recetas’, a delicious recipe book that the author herself presents and explains: “In this new book I share, in detail and with my own photographs, 100 rice dishes from all over the country that I have cooked with interest and respect. Of these, 44 are popular Valencian rice dishes, some are Michelin-starred signature dishes and some are my own recipes. There are 80 recipes which, moreover, have not appeared in any of my previous books”.
In this sense, it is worth noting that the author has already produced other gastronomic publications, a literary universe which she herself recounts how she arrived: “Finding myself in this world, so unexpected and exciting, began around the age of 60 due to a series of coincidences. What was going to be for my children became public and, shortly afterwards, five books and a short story too. All the publications, up to now, have been about traditional Valencian gastronomy: La cocina de la Safor, Dulces valencianos. 88 recetas, El arroz y su mundo. 100 Recetas valencianas, Cocas valencianas. 100 savoury elaborations with flour, Cocina de pueblo. Recetas valencianas and the story ‘Hoy hacemos cocas’.”
