Where to go for live music in Valencia?

If you are in search of a venue with good vibes and live music, then keep on reading because near the Àngel Guimerà metro station you will find Sala Loco Club, which specialises in live music and hosts local as well as international groups and artists. Upon entrance, you are transformed into a vinyl-covered venue with the DJ booth on one side and a stage right across the dancefloor.

In Loco Club you can get nice food and reasonably priced drinks. Not so long ago, the venue welcomed ‘Side Pony’ on its stage, a dynamic duo from Tennessee who entertained the crowd with their humour and out-of-this-world performance. The two country artists, Alice Wallace and Caitlin Cannon performed music from their new album ‘Lucky Break’ as well as songs from their individual albums.

The styles of the American singers really complemented one another, with the light-hearted tones of Caitlin singing about her favourite cocktail, Manhattan, and then Alice who took us on an emotional journey through the Mexico-US border. The two artists did come together to sing about “Heels” and about having “All the Time in the World” during the lockdown, topic everyone in the crowd could resonate with.

Loco Club is set to host many other gigs those of which that are on weekends are followed by DJs to keep the party going. The performances range from Rock’n’roll to Indie, Country to Pop. The majority of the bands  tend to be in English as well.
