-The concert will also include the special participation of the Schola Cantorum d’Algemesí with a selection of works ‘a cappella’. Comunitat Valenciana) and Cáritas.

Les Arts proposes for this evening a symphonic programme to exalt human heroism in the face of adversity, with two works with which works with which Ludwig van Beethoven extolled these values, the ‘Egmont Overture’, the incidental music he composed for the play Egmont’, the incidental music he composed for Goethe’s play about the national hero of the Spanish Netherlands, the Count of Egmont, and his ‘Third Symphony’, known as the ‘Egmont Overture’.

This extraordinary concert by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana will also have the special collaboration of the Schola Cantorum d’Algemesí in recognition of and in solidarity with the Valencian musical world that has been damaged by the storm on 29th October. The choral entity will open the concert with a selection of works which will be performed ‘a cappella’.

Pablo Heras-Casado is one of the Spanish conductors with the strongest relationship with Les Arts, and  has conducted memorable symphonic evenings here for over a decade.

He is considered to be one of the conductors with the greatest international projection. The first Spaniard to premiere a new production at the prestigious Bayreuth Festival and one of the few chosen by the Berlin Philharmonic in its roster of conductors, he combines his international career with an active in solidarity actions.
