The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía will be holding a concert in solidarity with those affected by the floods on the 10th of December, at 7.30 p.m.in the Auditori, in which the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado, will perform ‘Egmont’ and “Symphony No. 3” by Beethoven. Les Arts proposes a symphonic programme with heroism as the main theme.”.
-The concert will also include the special participation of the Schola Cantorum d’Algemesí with a selection of works ‘a cappella’. The orchestra conductor from Granada has wanted to participate selflessly in this initiative, the proceeds of which will go entirely to to the repair of damage and reconstruction after the flooding. Tickets will have a single price of fifteen euros. There will also be three ‘Filas 0’, whose donations will be channelled through the solidarity accounts set up by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the FSMCV (Federación de Sociedades Musicales de la Comunitat Valenciana) and CICV. Comunitat Valenciana) and Cáritas.

Pablo Heras-Casado is one of the Spanish conductors with the strongest relationship with Les Arts, and has conducted memorable symphonic evenings here for over a decade.
He is considered to be one of the conductors with the greatest international projection. The first Spaniard to premiere a new production at the prestigious Bayreuth Festival and one of the few chosen by the Berlin Philharmonic in its roster of conductors, he combines his international career with an active in solidarity actions.
