24/7 VALENCIA: COULD YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT ‘MÙSICA PEL CLIMA’?
MÚSICA PEL CLIMA: The cultural and environmental platform Música pel Clima has worked to use the transformative power of music as a tool for change and environmental awareness. Our solar stage has become a symbol of ecological activism, offering concerts powered by clean, renewable energy, demonstrating that positive change is possible in the way we consume culture.
In addition, with the campaign ‘1 concert, 1 tree’, Música pel Clima promotes change not only with the concerts offered with the solar stage but in all the concerts it organises in cultural spaces.
However, the recent DANA storm that hit Valencia completely destroyed our sound equipment, leaving us without the technical resources to continue spreading our message. Stored in a storage room that has been flooded, the equipment has been devastated. Inside this garage is our warehouse.
This is not an isolated event: extreme weather events like this are becoming more common as the climate crisis intensifies. Now, we need your help to get our solar stage back up and running and continue our mission to raise environmental awareness.
The Music for Climate solar stage is much more than just a concert format; it is a manifestation of our possibilities as conscious consumers to promote a sustainable cultural model. With each concert, we have reminded attendees of the impact of their consumption choices on the climate crisis, offering a concrete and committed alternative.
The funds we raise in this campaign will go to:
Replacing the destroyed sound equipment and upgrading it with more resistant and sustainable components. Continue to offer concerts with 0 emissions. Continue to organise live music events, using this space as a platform for environmental education and activism.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
With your contribution, you will not only help us to replace our equipment, but you will also be part of a movement for change. Every euro raised is another step towards creating sustainable cultural spaces and raising awareness of the urgent need to act on the climate crisis. This is not only a support for ‘Música pel Clima’; it is an investment in the future of our planet.
By contributing to this campaign, you are helping us to:
- Bring the climate emergency message to more people through sustainable and educational events.
- Empower consumers to make conscious choices away from the most polluting industries.
- Inspire other platforms and artists to adopt more sustainable and environmentally friendly cultural models.
TEAM AND EXPERIENCE
‘Música pel Clima’ has organised more than 300 concerts in two years. In 2023 we started our campaign ‘1 concert, 1 tree’, in which we committed to finance the planting of a tree for each concert organised. The funds go to the Desert Leaves Foundation, with whom we have already planted 100 trees in Pego in 2023 and will plant 200 by the end of 2024. As soon as the reforestation project in Pego is finished, we will take action in another needy area in our immediate surroundings, following the principle ‘think global, act local’. During the first days after the disaster, we have given priority to humanitarian aid. After 7 days, and still with a lot of work to do in this area, we ventured into this crowd funding because many people have asked us how they can collaborate with our platform from afar.
Through this crowdfunding campaign, we want to show that we can join forces and create meaningful change. Storm DANA is just one example of the effects of an increasingly present weather emergency. Let’s turn this loss into an opportunity to rebuild and move forward stronger.
We are counting on you to help bring music and climate awareness back to the sustainable streets and stages of Music for Climate. Thank you for being part of the change!
