NEARLY 45,000 ATTENDEES ENJOY THE 17 DAYS OF LIVE MUSIC AT THE VIVEROS 2024 CONCERTS!

25 national and international artists confirm that this series of concerts is a benchmark for summer nightlife choices. Taburete, Camela, Pablo López, Los Zigarros, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Carlos Vives have been the most popular concerts, while ‘The Cult’ has reached ‘sold out’. As a novelty, this year 2024 the Viveros Concerts have become a benchmark in spaces for PRM, with adapted accompaniment and information, as well as the location of a second adapted platform at ground level and close to the stage.

‘Conciertos de Viveros’ said goodbye this past Tuesday  to its 2024 programme with the performance of ‘Revolver’. In this year’s edition, 25 national and international artists have taken to the stage located in the magical surroundings of Valencia’s ‘Jardines de Viveros’ for 17 summer nights in July. Nearly 45,000 people in total were able to enjoy these summer night-time live music events as part of the Gran Feria de València organised by the Valencia City Council’s Department of Festivals and Traditions.

The national artists Sergio Dalma, Luz Casal, Niña Pastori, Los Zigarros, Taburete, Camela, India Martínez, Beret, Antoñito Molina, Pablo López, El Arrebato and Revolver have shaped the line-up, which has been completed on the international scene by the British The Cult, the Argentinean WOS, the Puerto Rican Gilberto Santa Rosa, the Colombian Carlos Vives and the Mexican Julieta Venegas.

In this edition of 2024, there has been a wide range of musical proposals and there has also been space for Valencian artists such as Neus Ferri, Santero y Los Muchachos, Green Nomad, Elena Játiva and La Plata. “In this way, the Viveros Concert Series has become a showcase for international artists who would not have been able to perform in the city without this venue, which is adapted to their technical needs and capacity”, said the councillor for Festivals and Traditions, Mónica Gil.

Styles such as pop, rock, salsa, singer-songwriter, flamenco, fusion, rap and post punk have paraded through Conciertos de Viveros in this edition to enjoy live music.

“We must not forget – Gil reminded us – that these concerts are aimed at people of all ages and all kinds of musical preferences so that the majority of citizens can take part in the festival”.

The Cult’s performance is the one that has aroused most interest in the public, reaching ‘sold out’. The concerts by Taburete, Camela, Pablo López, Los Zigarros, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Carlos Vives were also close to being sold out.

A benchmark in venues for PRM

It should be noted that, for the first time, thanks to close collaboration between the Department of Festivals and Traditions and the Directorate General for Disability of the City Council of Valencia, for the Viveros Concerts, there was a team of volunteers for people with functional diversity and reduced mobility, a new accessible area for people with reduced mobility was created, located at ground level and close to the stage, in addition to the existing one in previous editions, and an inclusive QR code was created and made available in the venue, including access for people with visual impairment.

In addition to the musical programme, attendees were able to enjoy a large and varied gastronomic area, artificial grass for greater comfort, bicycle parking, places for people with reduced mobility, as well as seventy portable toilet cabins.

Positive impact on the local economy

The Viveros Concerts are an event that not only contributes to expanding the city’s leisure offer for nearly a month, but also has a high positive impact on the local heritage and economy by creating direct and indirect jobs, both for music promoters and for service companies, infrastructures, etc. It also has a very positive impact on the tourism sector.

This series of concerts, located in the unique setting of the Viveros Gardens, confirms that this Valencian event is one of the great musical events of the summer at local, national and international level. It is a prestigious opportunity for many artists, both for fully established performers and for young and emerging bands of very different styles and musical trends, who see in these concerts the opportunity to reach the general public.
