The Casino de Agricultura hosts an exhibition with great works of great Valencian painters on loan from collectors, which will be auctioned on 5 December at 19:00 hours. The aim is to help the families most affected by the Dana to recover their mobility through the project ‘Solidarity on wheels’. This initiative is organised by the Fundación el Secreto de la Filantropía and the Asociación de Anticuarios de la Comunidad of Antique Dealers of the Valencian Community.
The auction on 5 December will bring together an interesting catalogue of donated works of art and catalogue of works of art and antiques donated by antique dealers, artists, galleries and renowned collectors. There are works by Valdés, Francisco Sebastián, Girbent, José Morea, Juan Reus, Nassio Bayarri, among many others, or a careful selection of antiques such as pieces of pottery from the 17th century, decorative objects, collectors’ items, etc. will etc., will generate great expectations among both experienced collectors and art collectors as well as art enthusiasts, as well as contributing to the lives of the most needy citizens of these nearby towns.
El Secreto de la Filantropía Foundation, the Association of Antique Dealers of the Community of the Comunidad Valenciana, as organisers, and the Casino de Agricultura as collaborators, wanted to raise funds for the project ‘Solidarity on wheels’, an innovative proposal aimed to give back mobility to those who lost their vehicles due to the tragedy of 29 October last year and as far as possible to return the affected families to normality.
Behind this initiative is the founder of BlueBull, Joaquín Durán, as well as the García Peralta and Horta Sud foundations, and the project seeks to solve the problem of connectivity in the affected areas by distributing motorbikes, cars and bicycles to the affected people. The García Peralta Foundation is in charge of administering and vehicle donations, while the Horta Sud Foundation manages the logistics of vehicle delivery, ensuring that the resources reach those who need them most.
From 10:30h to 14:00h in the morning and from 17:00h to 21:00h in the afternoon, the works and pieces to be auctioned will be on display in the exhibition hall on the fourth floor of the building located at C/ Comedias,12.
On 5 December, from 19:00 hours, the auditorium of the historic building will host the auction. It is important to inform that, in order to facilitate the participation of the interested public; it will be possible to leave written bids from the 27th of November onwards.
