VALENCIA CONTEMPORARY ART…JUAN JOSÉ CASTELLANO COMENGE FOUNDATION HAS A NEW PRESIDENT

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FROM THE JUAN JOSÉ CASTELLANO COMENGE FOUNDATION MET TO CONTINUE HIS LEGACY WITH ENRIQUE VÁZQUEZ AS ITS NEW PRESIDENT.

The trustees of the Juan José Castellano Comenge Foundation (FJJCC) met yesterday for the first time after the death of its founder on the 29th of March, to accept the task of giving strength and progression to all the projects within the foundation.

Enrique Vázquez will now become the president of the foundation, while Horacio Silvia, will continue as art director of the important collection. Maria Dolores Sancho, will continue to be in charge of social actions, and Francisco Javier García del Moral will be vice-president.

The FJJCC was created in 2016, and it is working towards establishing the first museum dedicated exclusively to Valencian contemporary art of the 20th and 21st centuries, which will be located at number 4, Plaza del Autor in Valencia. It was a dream of Juan José Castellano Comenge to be able to share his extensive art collection, which includes more than 200 works by outstanding artists. The foundation is also dedicated to promoting social development in the Valencian Community, through various NGOs and associations – as improvement to society as a whole through various actions was something very close to the creator, Juan José Castellano Comenge’s heart.
