Thursday 9th May

A Lake of Concerts, ‘Un Lago de Conciertos’ – From 7pm, this Thursday 9^th May, La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is once again hosting the Berklee Valencia musical performers for ‘Un lago de conciertos’. The genres of music performed will range from jazz, soul, R&B through to Latin and pop, through four free concerts on the north promenade of the Museu de les Ciències.

Friday 10th May

Festival of the Virgen de los Desamparados – Beginning on Friday the 10th May, and continuing through to Saturday and Sunday, Valencia will be celebrating the Virgen de los Desamparados 2024! These will be an intense few days, with pyrotechnics, music, tradtional outfits and dances. The events will take place between Plaza de la Virgen and Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and the city will be vibrating!

Saturday 11th May

Medieval Dual live exhibition – At the Ateneo Marcantil de Valencia, we have spotted a unique event for lovers of the history of The Templars. In a medieval sword-fighting exhibition, the knights will come to life in a duel! The exhibition itself has been open since the 26th March, and remain open until May 26th. The duel itself will begin at 1pm on Saturday 11th within the exhibition ‘Templarios y Otras Órdenes Militares de la Península Ibérica’. Tickets start at 7 euros and can be purchased through the website.

Sunday 12th May

Live music performance – At Fabrica de Hielo, on Sunday the 12^th May, there will be two sets of performances, a lunch time and an evening musical performance. From 13:30, ConFusion, a group of four international musicians will perform a mix of salsa, funk, boleros and blues. From 20:00, Soul Samurai will be performing their iconic funk and R&B mix.
