‘FIDEL NADAL’ WILL BRING HIS REGGAETON SOUND TO THE PETER ROCK CLUB ON 29 JUNE

Having been featured twice on the cover of Rolling Stone Argentina, and receiving two Latin Grammy nominations, Afro-Argentine musician Fidel Nadal is bringing his well-known sound to the Peter Rock Club.

On the 29 June as part of his Europe tour, Fidel Nadal will play hit songs such as International Love which was featured on FIFA 10 and Te Robaste Mi Corazón which was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2011 for ‘Best Alternative Song.’

Not always having been a solo artist, Fidel Nadal has an interesting music journey. Nadal was inspired by calypso, blues and jazz music from an early age, but really became lured into the reggae genre when Peter Tosh’s albums made it to Argentina. In the 1980s, Nadal became a pioneer of the underground reggae movement and founded the band Todos Tus Muertos which blended sounds of reggae, punk and hip hop and went on to produce six albums. After the dissolution of the band, in the 1990s Nadal formed Lumumba, a reggae band which successfully released four albums.

Fidel Nadal’s solo career was born in 2001 with a Rastafarian style and image, and in the early 2000s he released many successful albums such as Selassie I Dios Todopoderoso, and collaborated with the legendary Mano Negra. Some of his most recent singles include the catchy Bing Bang (Unidad Riddim), Viaje which collaborates with musicians Noite and Aberci, and the more chilled out Let it be featuring Francistyle.
