Acantha Lang is a leading soul music artist from New Orleans, Louisiana.She is one of the revelations of recent soul music, working out of London, where she released her debut, Beautiful Dreams, a few months ago. However, Acantha Lang was born in New Orleans, although she started singing when she moved to New York and began attending open mic nights, where anyone could come up on stage and sing a song. That led to her having her own weekly blues night at a small club in Harlem. It was there that she began to develop and find her voice before moving to the British capital.

Her music is inspired by southern blues traditions and her lyrics address issues such as fake news and women’s pride. She was featured on Robert Randolph & The Family Band’s 2017 Grammy-nominated album “Got Soul”. She debuted her EP “Sugar Woman” in 2021, winning New Artist of the Year at the Soul Tracks Readers’ Choice Awards. She was also featured in her performance on CBS Saturday Morning in May 2023 and amassed over ten million views on social media with her ‘Standing On The Shoulders of… Soul’ series. She is currently promoting her album ‘Beautiful Dreams’, released earlier this summer.
