‘LOVE TO ROCK’ (MUSIC AND FOOD) ON 11th-12th OCTOBER… IN VALENCIA!

‘Love To Rock’ Festival returns to Valencia Marina on October 11th and 12th 2024 with a programme of established bands, DJs and an unrivalled gastronomical experience. Now in its fifth edition, the family-friendly festival will deliver two days of music, food and activities aimed at all age groups. Michelin star chefs will be delivering mouth-watering delights in the ‘Love To Food’ Area, younger attendees can play in the ‘Love To Kids’ area, the main Love To Rock stage featuring bands including: The Sidecars, Aiko El Grupo, La Casa Azul plus many more, whilst DJs including Fat Gordon, Sugar Mami and Mr Fly will be spinning records in the DJ area.

Friday 11th October (Doors open 18.00h)

Those in charge of opening the first day of the festival on Friday, October 11, will be Sidecars with the songs from their latest work “Trece”; Dorian with his great classics and the music from his album “Ritual”; La Cámara Roja celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary with the release of two albums, “Años Luz” and “Años Luz II”; Mutant Children in a very special concert with which they say goodbye after thirty years of history; and Helen Helen, winners of the emerging band contest promoted by the festival.

In the Love to Food area, Begoña Rodrigo, chef of the La Salita Restaurant (Valencia) with 1 Michelin Star and 3 Repsol Sun, and Best Vegetable Female Chef in Europe 2023, will bring her cuisine based on the garden and the territory to the attendees. She will share the spotlight with Germán Carrizo, lighthouse and curator of Love to Food as well as chef of the Fierro restaurant (Valencia) with 1 Michelin Star and 1 Repsol Sun and where he combines Argentine tradition with Mediterranean influences.

The DJs who will entertain and make the audience dance on Friday will be Fat Gordon, Giorgio Bonetti, Sugar Mami, Bita, Don Fluor and Mr. Fly.

Saturday 12th October (Doors open 10.30h)

The next day, live music from La La Love You will play, one of the great musical phenomena of recent years in our country; La Casa Azul with its dance, colour and fantasy show; Sidonie presenting their tenth album “Marc, Axel y Jes”; Gins with his “Who is Billie Max?” which since its publication has positioned them at the top of festival line-ups; Rufus T. Firefly, a band considered cult within the national independent scene; the unclassifiable artist Ángel Stanich with his “Polvo De Battiato”; songbook that is part of the emotional memory of several generations; Depresion Sonora and her second and conceptual album “The art of dying very slowly”; Shego and the punk of her “Suerte, chica”; punk made real;

In Love to Food, it will be the turn to take over the kitchen of Alejandra Herrador, chef of the Atalaya Restaurant (Alcossebre) with 1 Michelin Star and 2 Repsol Suns and her cuisine with the Mediterranean flavor as the protagonist; Roseta Félix, chef of the Fraula Restaurant (Valencia) with 1 Michelin Star and 1 Repsol Sun and where pastry recipes and Valencian gastronomy stand out; and Carito Lourenço, chef alongside Germán Carrizo of Restaurante Fierro, who stands out for his cuisine that blends the boundaries of sweet and salty. Carito is also the driving force behind Tándem Gastronomic, Doña Petrona, La Central de Desserts and La Petite Brioche in Valencia. In addition, Maillard experts in embers will also participate.

In the DJs section, INNMIR, Second Djs, Fran Lenaers, Fat Gordon, Manel Simøne, Víctor Ollé, Kaliz and Mario Oldies.

If the previous four editions are anything to go by, this is a weekend of family fun, music and food not to be missed!
