‘MANZO ITALIAN BURGER’ IS NOW IN VALENCIA!

Manzo Italian Burger opens its first restaurant in Valencia with Italian burgers as the main protagonist! The restaurant in the Benimaclet neighbourhood joins those already opened in Jávea and Benidorm, offering a variety of burgers at an affordable price. Who said carbonara couldn’t be shaped like a hamburger? Tell that to Manzo Italian Burger, which this Friday opens its first location in Valencia with a varied burger menu and Italian touches. The restaurant run by chef Gaetano Gregorio has set up in the heart of the Benimaclet neighbourhood, specifically at Calle Ramón Asensio number 10, where they offer combos and burgers at a very affordable price.

It is not the first opening under this name. Manzo Italian Burger opened two years ago in Jávea and last June in Benidorm. Two big bets on the Mediterranean coast, whose model is now being replicated in one of the cities with the biggest burger culture. They are not starting from scratch because, since 2023, they have been working their product in the capital through delivery. “Before taking the big step, we wanted to check that people wanted a different kind of burger,” explains Gaetano. They want to stand out from the current offer by opting for a quality product, but at the same time economical. With burgers for all budgets and, moreover, with flavours reminiscent of the most famous dishes of Italian gastronomy.

Ciao pasta, benvenuti burger

The Italian touch is provided by the owner and chef. Born in Sicily, Gaetano Gregorio trained in the subject to make a living from gastronomy around the world for 30 years. His most important stage was spent in the United States, where, he adds, “I discovered the magic of street food and its Italian origins”. Hamburgers that, he recalls, were simple, street food and very cheap. Adjectives that he has not wanted to get rid of since he made the decision to open Manzo Italian Burger. “That’s where the true essence of this dish lies, in the fact that it is an accessible option”, the chef explains.

The opening of the València location coincides with the launch of his new menu. It features names and ingredients that come directly from the neighbouring country. Homemade hamburgers -with the best products from here and there-, which are prepared daily in his workshop.

As a foretaste:

The Burger Carbonara, the most popular among the clientele as it mixes the best of two recipes. Prepared with brioche bread, 30-day aged beef, grilled onion, grana padano cheese, mayonnaise with a spicy touch and a homemade carbonara sauce.

The Calabrese Burger, for lovers of spicy food and in honour of this Italian region. It is made with brioche bread, 30-day aged beef, smoked provola, spicy spianata salami, fried onions and a very special Calabrian sauce.

Or the Cacio e Pepe, the most awaited novelty. The bread and meat are accompanied by grilled onion, a sauce reminiscent of the typical Italian cacio e pepe and roasted black pepper.

In addition to the burgers available on the menu, there are special combos to enjoy alone or to share. These include a hamburger, fries – there are even some with carbonara sauce and parmesan cream – and a drink or dessert to choose from depending on the selection. There is also a vegetarian option, called Beyond, a recipe that includes beyond meat, sliced and semi-dried tomato, lettuce, braised onion and Manzo’s special sauce. An offer that, in Gaetano’s words, “is hardly present in Valencia, and even less so if the hamburger is understood as a fast food”. Here they proudly claim that their product is street food, but of quality, and that it can be enjoyed anywhere. That is why they offer take away and delivery, the latter reaching a delivery radius of up to four kilometres.

Let the party begin

The philosophy of these Italian burgers is none other than to bite without fear. Because in every bite there is history, tradition and a lot of flavour. “We want people, when they try them, to travel to Italy and remember our authentic gastronomy”, says the chef. All this without having to get up from your chair and in a pleasant and warm environment. Manzo Italian Burger’s premises are spacious, with two floors and an outdoor terrace, in an industrial style and with wooden finishes. The aim is to make the public feel comfortable and come back again and again. “Some of our customers from Jávea and Benidorm are from here, so we came to remind them that they can join the ‘festa’ again,” says Gaetano.

And what comes next? For the whole month of December, ‘Manzo Italian Burger’ will be celebrating its arrival in town with a 2 for 1 deal on burgers. Meanwhile, in the medium and long term, the team’s objectives are to consolidate the current premises and expand the business in this and other cities. For this they need time. What is clear at this point is that the message that Italy is only pizza or pasta is just not true. Italy is much more than that!
