‘Mediterránea Fashion Week Valencia’ begins its second year this 2023 from 5th October to the 8th, in a calendar of fashion shows that will feature the collections of designers from the Valencian Community, national and international creatives. From 29th September to October 10th at the CLC Arte Gallery, C/ d’en Sala, 6. ACUMOVA introduces an exhibition that fuses Valencian art and fashion for Mediterranean Fashion Week Valencia. It will showcase pieces, donated by private collectors, by Enrique Lodares, Paca Cervera, Juan Andrés Mompó and Isabel Sanchis.
The exhibition aims to call attention to the connection between Valencian fashion and the historic culture of the Mediterranean city, linking the concept of art itself to tangible fashion. “Like painting or sculpture, it is a multidisciplinary field. We talk about fusing because fashion, art and culture can go hand in hand,” says Carla Alabau, director of the CLC Arte Gallery.
The official space of Valencia Fashion Week 2023 will be the Only YOU Hotel Valencia. The catwalk will begin with Valencian designer Alejandro Resta, which will take place in the Plaza de la Virgen 5th October 9pm. Isabel Sanchis’ catwalk will also be held in the Plaza de la Virgen, Friday 6th October, 9pm. This historical and cultural space lends an idyllic setting to introduce the creations of Sanchis and Resta, celebrating fashion, culture and tradition in the heart of the city.
