One Shot Hotels opens ‘One Shot Puerta Ruzafa’ with a focus on history, gastronomy and the essence of Valencia

The chain adds its fourth hotel in Valencia with an opening that left a night full of emotion, culture and celebration. Valencia experienced a special night with the inauguration of ‘One Shot Puerta Ruzafa’, a celebration that was much more than just the opening of a new hotel. The event was a true reflection of the chain’s identity in the city: a commitment to art, the local community, and respect for Valencia’s history, culture, and unique character.

The evening began with the hotel’s facade a blank canvas, which was transformed by a visual interplay of lights and colors that traced movement across the architecture, visible to both guests and passersby. It was a gesture of openness to the city, a way of saying: this is for you too.

Next came the official welcome, given by Darío Piera, who introduced the project and his team. Among the guests were well-known figures from Valencian society.

Representatives from the cultural, creative, and social spheres, as well as the One Shot Hotels team, shared the enthusiasm for this new chapter. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with a sense of shared celebration.

From there, the evening transformed into a sensory journey through the hotel’s various rooms. The first invited contemplation: artist Diego Zappa was working on an ephemeral piece inspired by Mediterranean light, constructed with natural elements that seemed to breathe. The next room led attendees to discover one of Valencia’s great undiscovered treasures: the Holy Grail, presented by Ana Mafé García, who recounted the story linking this relic to the city, surprising even those who thought they knew it. The final room focused on the senses: perfumer Laura Monzón spoke about the aromas that represent Valencian identity and presented the perfume created exclusively for One Shot Puerta Ruzafa, while artist Yuè SanJuan sang a lullaby under the Valencian moon, enveloping the space in a soft, luminous calm.

With the tour over, the evening moved to the terrace. There, the music of Marien Baker, accompanied by saxophonist Don Polo, added rhythm and energy to a night that it continued in a relaxed manner, amid conversation, toasts, and the Valencian breeze slowly falling.

One Shot Puerta Ruzafa: a hotel that breathes city

Located in a 1947 building, One Shot Puerta Ruzafa has been transformed without losing its original character. The interior design is the work of Alejandra Pombo, who conceived the hotel as a journey inspired by the life cycle of a plant: from the roots and earth on the lower levels to the light and air on the upper floors. Her sensory approach relies on natural materials, soft textures, and organic curves that invite relaxation. The 92 rooms maintain this warm and serene atmosphere, and the

The rooftop terrace opens up a horizon towards the Valencia skyline. With this opening, One Shot Hotels now has four hotels in Valencia, each with its own unique essence that connects with a different traveler profile:

  • One Shot Queen Victoria: history, elegance and classic air in the heart of the city.

  • One Shot Mercat: intimate, artistic and close to the everyday life of the city.

  • One Shot Colón: urban, practical and designed for a more dynamic rhythm.

  • One Shot Puerta Ruzafa: Mediterranean light, sensory design and open spirit.

Each hotel explores a different angle of Valencia, but they all share the same philosophy.

The essence of One Shot Hotels

The essence of One Shot Hotels stems from the conviction that every city has its own unique identity, rhythm, and atmosphere that deserve to be experienced firsthand. That’s why the chain focuses on hotels that seamlessly integrate into the urban fabric, located in places that are part of the city’s real life, not just its postcards. Their projects collaborate with local artists, artisans, and talents, creating spaces with character—warm and personal—where travelers don’t feel like spectators, but rather part of the experience. More than just a hotel, One Shot Hotels offers a temporary home: welcoming, authentic, and connected to the experience of discovering a city as if you already belonged there.
