SEDAJAZZ RECORDS: Screaming Pillows is a group of outstanding young musicians from Sedajazz’s own quarry who perform a varied repertoire, regardless of aesthetic barriers and made up entirely of original songs… written both individually and collectively. A group of eccentirc individuals who pray to Coltrane and Elvin, wash in the morning listening to Zappa and Dolphy and sleep with Miles and Rollins in the background.

Screaming Pillows is a band born in 2019 and made up of 7 young musicians, most of them trained in the Valencian musicians’ collective Sedajazz. Their repertoire consists of a series of original compositions and arrangements by the different members of the band… covering a wide variety of styles. From jazz-rock and jazz fusion to flamenco, hard bop, free jazz, electric-jazz, etc. With influences such as Chick Corea, Frank Zappa, Louis Cole or Steve Grossman. A repertoire that aims to reflect the artistic concerns of the different musicians in the band regardless of genres and aesthetic barriers.

In December 2020 Screaming Pillows recorded their first album, not yet released, where, in addition to the band, five guest artists participated in a series of compositions arranged for an ensemble of 8 winds+rhythmic base. if you like their music, there is a ‘Verkami’ link below to help fund their new album…
