WHAT’S ON IN VALENCIA THIS WEEKEND?

With a Saturday forecast of 31 degrees, the weather is undeniably starting to get warmer in Valencia. However, If a weekend spent sunbathing at the beach doesn’t appeal to you, here are some events that may grab your attention!

Latin House at L’Umbracle

Evolution Valencia is a new monthly event focused on the fusion of cutting-edge music. A unique combination of house music with traditional latin and funk sounds will bring an innovative, vibrant and groovy sound to L’umbracle. The party will premiere on the 4th may, and if your zodiac sign is a Taurus, you and 9 friends can enter for free until 8pm!

4th May 2024: 5pm- midnight

The 1 euro market

For those interested in cheap and sustainable fashion, the 1 euro market returns to Valencia this Sunday. Organised by Il Quartiere, a Valencian cultural association that organises events related to responsible consumption, reuse and ecology, the market enables individuals to sell anything they no longer use. Entry is 1 euro, and everything is sold for 1 euro, so it is a cheap way to spruce up your wardrobe.

Valencia Book Fair

This weekend will be the last opportunity to make a visit to the Valencia book fair 2024, as it ends on the 5th of May. Held in the Jardines Viveros, the book fair consists of 80 exhibitors, along with book presentations, readings and book signings.

On until the 5th May: 11am-2:30pm and 4:30-9:00 pm

Andalusian Fair of Valencia

This weekend will also mark the closing of the 2024 Andalusian Fair of Valencia which has been blessing Valencian citizens with a taste of Andalusian culture since April 26th. Located between Puente de las Flores and Puente de la Exposición, the event hosts Andalusian food and drink stalls, flamenco performances, music and decorations. This Saturday, Va De Rumba will take to the central stage at 8pm.

On until the 5th May: 11am- midnight.

Live music at La Fábrica de Hielo

After a long day relaxing at the beach, why not head over to ‘La Fábrica de Hielo’ at Cabanyal this weekend for a variety of interesting live music events. With its industrial interior, abundance of plants and vintage furniture, Fábrica is an artistic and unique venue to enjoy live performances. On Saturday from 8-11pm, Adrian Black and friends present, ‘May the 4th be with you,’ and will celebrate star wars day with a performance of original music and covers of pop, soul, and hip hop, followed by a DJ set from 9:30 pm. On Sunday, rock band Romantic Hurricane will come to the stage to perform compositions that combine powerful and intense guitars with subtle melodies.
