AWARD-WINNING CHEF KIKO MOYA AT ‘TANCAT DE L’ALBUFERA’ (VALÈNCIA)

##Cerveza Turia teams up with chef Kiko Moya to offer a unique gastronomic experience in the heart of La Albufera (València).

Kiko Moya, the chef of the restaurant L’Escaleta (Cocentaina), which has two Michelin stars and three Repsol Suns, will prepare a special menu inspired by this unique enclave of marshland and orchard.

Matí a l’horta is a gastronomic experience in the ‘Tancat de L’Albufera’ that will take place on 17 October, 13 and 14 November.

– On each day, the gastronomic proposal will be complemented with an acoustic concert by the groups Chlöe’s Clue (17th October), Parade (13th November) and María Rodés (14th November).

Continuing with its commitment to local culture and gastronomy, Cerveza Turia presents Matí a l’horta, an unforgettable gastronomic experience in a unique scenic setting. This new adventure, which will take place in the heart of La Albufera de València, will feature the participation of one of the most prestigious chefs on the national scene, chef Kiko Moya from the L’Escaleta restaurant in Cocentaina (Alicante).

Matí a l’horta will consist of three small-format events spread over three days in autumn -17th October and 13th and 14th November-.

The chef Kiko Moya – who has two Michelin stars and three Repsol Suns – will take inspiration from this stunning landscape of marshland and orchards to create a special menu for these days.” Appreciating what we have around us is what gives us our identity,” says the chef. “For me it is very important that the landscape is reflected in the dish, and only local produce can give you that”.

Each day will begin at midday with a small acoustic concert. On 17 October the Valencian indie folk singer-songwriter Raquel Adalid, better known as Chlöe’s Clue, will perform; on 13 November it will be the turn of Parade, an alias under which we find the eclectic Murcian indie-pop composer Antonio Galvañ. Finally, on 14 November the Catalan singer and composer María Rodés will perform, whose style – a mixture of singer-songwriter and experimentation – has made her one of the most interesting voices on the national music scene.

At two o’clock in the afternoon, the gastronomic part of the event will begin. Kiko Moya’s proposal will link the products of the orchard and l’Albufera using seasonal and zero-kilometre products. As could not be otherwise, the local varieties of rice will play an important role. After a relaxed after-dinner snack, the event will end at 17.00h in the afternoon. The Matí a l’horta days include a minibus pick-up and drop-off service for all attendees.

Cerveza Turia’s commitment to the territory and local gastronomy

Cerveza Turia, València’s toasted beer, is committed to promoting local culture and rescuing tradition from a contemporary point of view by supporting local craftsmanship, regional talent, the Valencian market garden and the area’s gastronomic recipes. Proof of this are projects such as the recent collaboration with the Mercat Central de València, the campaign ‘Temps de Clòtxina’ (2020-2021) around this product so characteristic of the land, the Festival de l’horta Turia (2017-2019), an event that arose to bring the orchard to the most cosmopolitan public; and the initiative ‘Ultramarinos Turia’ (2016), a tribute to neighbourhood commerce, among others.
