‘Chico Jorge’ will bring his debut album, ‘One of Those Days’, to Valencia on January 17th at ‘Centro Excursionista Bar’. Barcelona-based musician Jordi Bastida writes about his pain, embracing sadness, encapsulating it in 10 songs, and explaining it to himself in “One of Those Days.” It’s a brave and honest album where hope always shines at the end of the tunnel. With stylistic influences such as Deerhunter, Wilco, and The Strokes, Chico Jorge’s hip indiepop perfectly translates the ambivalent emotional landscapes he explores, where opposing emotions coexist, meet, and intertwine.
Known as the guitarist for Sidonie and Alizzz, Jordi Bastida will be performing his solo project, “Uno de esos días,” live at the Centro Excursionista Bar in Valencia on Saturday, January 17th.
The concert will be the launch of an intimate and honest album, composed of ten noisy indiepop songs that explore sadness, vulnerability, and hope from a deeply personal perspective. Released last October through Magic in the Air Records, “Uno de esos días” stands out for its sensitivity, lyricism, and ability to transform pain into light.
The concert on January 17th at the ‘Centro Excursionista Bar’ in Valencia will be a unique opportunity to experience live a project that stands out for its authenticity and emotional depth.
Performing with a full band, Chico Jorge will present the songs from “Una de esos días” with an intense and meticulously crafted stage show, true to the spirit of the album, as he did at his Barcelona launch concert, where he sold out the venue.
