Are you looking to savour quality tapas in an authentic Spanish tasca in the historic centre at any time of the day? It’s in the heart of the historic centre, so easy to find.
The interior is warm with an attractive local art exhibition lining the brick walls, clean wooden tables and a sociable, cosy atmosphere. There’s an ample terraza outside with a pleasant view of the old town and very little traffic, as it is conveniently off the main streets…
Their 28 superb tapas include sardines, hummus, anchovies, tortilla & the classic Valencian ‘torn fish’ speciality of Esgarraet. There are Eight classic Spanish ‘Tablas’ include five delicious cheeses & a fair range of Ibéricos. There’s a select red wine list with top-of-the range ‘Ribera Del Duero’ and ‘Riojas’ to savour as well as local reds, whites, rosés and cavas for group celebrations. We savoured the tasty cheeses with the Valencian red wine flowing into the early hours…
The service was informed, friendly and natural. The portions were neither tiny or excessive; they were just the right amount. The calidad and presentation makes it very much a Tasca that is well worth experiencing in good company.
