Eva and Sergio are dancers and dance teachers of the ‘Blues’. Almost 10 years ago they founded Voodoo Blues in Madrid with the aim of spreading the Blues culture, organise dance events with live music and to give specialised classes in this style. They have offered workshops in different cities and in national and international events, standing out for their pedagogical approach that not only focuses on dance technique, but also on the cultural and historical context surrounding this musical style. They are also DJs with a passion for the Blues and have taken their vinyls for sessions at international festivals, as well as to some of the most emblematic venues in Valencia, such as 16 Toneladas, Loco Club, Radio City, Black Note and Matisse.
Feeling Blue
The Feeling Blue is the longest running party organised by Eva and Sergio. It was born in Madrid together with Voodoo Blues, as a way to promote live Blues music in the emblematic Rock Palace venue. ‘Feeling Blue’ is an event where live music and dance always go hand in hand; you can’t enjoy one without the other. Over the years, it has been held in different venues in Madrid and Valencia, always in venues with a special atmosphere with the care and dedication that Eva and Sergio put into each edition. Indeed, the next edition will be held on Saturday 26th April at 12:00pm at Casapueblo (C/ de Vinaròs, 3), a brewpub with a charming courtyard, good food and excellent beer. On this occasion, the music will be provided by ‘The Hot Notes’, directed by Guillermo Valero, who will make us enjoy the best blues tunes in the New Orleans style. Before the concert, ‘Feeling Blue’ will offer a multi-level dance class, ideal for everyone: from those who want to improve their steps to those who are new to this style. This way, they will be able to enjoy the concert to the fullest!
