‘LA RUTA: MODERN TIMES, CULTURE AND DISORDER’ is more than an exhibition, it’s a rediscovery of a cultural phenomenon, presented for the first time in an immersive format. This experience invites you to revisit a historic chapter that marked a turning point: a revolution that forever transformed the way Valencian nightlife and leisure were understood.

For the first time in immersive format, the exhibition revisits this socio-cultural movement that propelled València — and Spain — into the European avant-garde, highlighting its creative power, modern, free and transgressive spirit, and independence from institutions. La Ruta was the most visible and radical expression of the movida valenciana, with a force and personality comparable to other major urban scenes such as Manchester, Madrid, Berlin, or Amsterdam.

Spanning 10 rooms and over 2,000 m², Bombas Gens Centre d’Arts Digitals offers a unique “ruta” through the social and historical context that gave rise to this powerful cultural movement.

As the centre’s first-ever production, the exhibition features period installations and objects, exclusive testimonies from key figures, an immersive room with laser-mapping effects, and cutting-edge 360º VR technology.
