‘LES ARTS ÉS FLAMENCO’ WELCOMES MARÍA TOLEDO TO PERFORM ON 20 APRIL

María Toledo, the first flamenco artist to combine vocals and piano is welcomed by the ‘Palau de les Arts Reine Sofía’ of Valencia to perform at Les Arts ès Flamenco in the Teatre Martín i Soler. The performance will be at 7pm on the 20th of April, where tickets are sold at 30 euros each.

In the middle of her current tour, María is set to come to Valencia to present her latest and most special album, ‘Vicente’, which has already reached the top of the iTunes global sales chart in Spain. ‘Vicente’ is an album dedicated to the celebration of the first year of life of her first-born son that takes a journey through the emotions that her recent maternity has brought her, singing with the depth of soléa and lullabies in bulerías. Having already released seven albums and received six Grammy nominations, Toledo is known as one of the new icons of flamenco singing. In her performance, ‘La flamenco del piano,’ María will be accompanied by flamenco guitar player Manuel Cantarore, palmas musician Manuel Valencia, and keyboard player José Marïa Cortina.

Sevillian cantaor, José de la Tomasa, who is committed to maintaining the purity of flamenco singing and its traditions, will be in charge of closing the ‘Les Arts és Flamenco’ season on the 31st of May.
