DRUMMER SUN-MI HONG PRESENTS HER ALBUM SELF-STREWN PORTRAIT IN FRONT OF HER QUINTET
Korean composer and performer Sun-Mi Hong is considered one of Europe’s most vibrant drummers.
After the release of her debut album in 2017, her quintet has become a critically and public acclaimed and award-winning ensemble. Settled on the periphery of tradition, she often dips into avant-garde and engaging contemporary jazz.

Now she presents at the Jimmy Glass Festival her new album, A Self-Strewn Portrait (2021), where she exhibits a portrait of herself that plays with the emotions of the listener, reflecting on moments of the past and her decision to move to Amsterdam, where she has lived for seven years, and the joy of having chosen an exciting path.
Open at 20:00h for the first performance and at 22:00 for the second performance.
Tickets can be collected and paid for at the Jimmy Glass entrance on the day of the concert.
