MUSIC LOVERS FLOCKED FROM ALL OVER SPAIN TO ATTEND THE FIRST EDITION OF MUSIC FESTIVAL ‘NITS VORAMAR’

Nits Voramar, a new open air musical festival at La Marina, has been extremely successful with its first edition. Held over three days on the 16th, 21st and 22nd of June, over 15,000 music fans attended the festival held at The Marina Norte Auditorium, witnessing a dynamic lineup of international and local musicians.

The lineup included legendary alternative rock and new wave band The Pretenders led by singer and guitarist Chrissie Hynde, Valencian band Seguridad Social with their original set list from 1990 and Vetusta Morla with their recently released album ‘Figurantes’ in a concert that served as a farewell to Valencia before their temporary hiatus. Spanish singer-songwriter Rozalén performed her latest album ‘El abrazo,’ and young Valenican band Tenda brought their indie-rock sound with their EP ‘Un Poco Regular.’ Also present was Pep Gimeno “Botifarra” who performed his new album and show Ja ve el aire,’ a compilation of work songs in a feminine key. Further diversifying the musical genres at the festival were DJ José Coll and DJ Toxicosmos who livened up moments between concerts with their current indie mixes.

The festival collaborated with the Valencian Àmbit association, an organisation working towards the reintegration of ex-prisoners struggling with mental health issues. Part of the proceeds from the festival’s eco-reusable cups went to the association, specifically the ‘Casa d’ acollida Espai’ project which offers integration support to inhabitants of the Nazaret neighbourhood.
