The song. It is the basis of RICK TREFFERS and his work. As if his songs were children…the composer takes care of them, appreciates them and shows them to the world, with love. Treffers’s elegant songs are characterized by a strong melodic sensitivity, textured arrangements, intimate and existential lyrics – especially about love – and airs of folk, wave, dream pop or “crooner pop”.

Rick Treffers has a long history in indie music in Europe. In 2003, the Dutchman released albums with the group Mist. After a project unique in Spanish (El Turista Optimista), he published The Loop Of Love in 2015, a luminous and melancholic pop album. ‘Looking For A Place To Stay’ came out in 2021 , the first LP in English under his own name. On April 17 he releases, ‘The Opposite Of Never’, his 13th album: 10 songs about the illusion that love protects us against decline and loneliness. At Loco Club he will be accompanied by musicians Lourdes Casany, Antonió José Iglesias, Gilberto Aubán, Jordi Sempere and ALBERTO AMAR, who will also present his new album Flower of Dreams on the same night, at 7:00 p.m. A Lo-Fi dream pop album about the ethereal poetry of dreams.
