This August 2023, Lee Fields lands again in Spain and Portugal to present “Sentimental Fool”, a new album released by the prestigious New York label Daptone Records. Fields released his first single in 1969 and in his more than 50 years of career he has worked with legends like Bobby Womack, B.B. King, Kool and the Gang, Denise Lasalle, Dr John and more. Lee Fields provided additional vocals to the James Brown biographical film, ‘Get On Up’. Indeed, Lee’s nickname is “Little JB” due to his vocal and physical resemblance to the great James Brown.

Lee Fields is arguably the greatest soul singer alive today. In an age when an artist’s lifespan depends largely on trends, Fields has proven to be an unassailable force of nature: his prolific career spans five decades and his music is living its finest hour… reigning supreme on the modern soul scene.

In early 2022, the North Carolina singer reunited with Daptone Records and producer Gabriel Roth to record “Sentimental Fool,” an all-soul, deep-cut, blues-tinged album. From the first phrase to the final word, the album brims with the beauty, power and raw humanity of Fields’s voice. One more step in an amazing career that seems to defy gravity, soaring to ever greater heights, and that this summer the public will be able to enjoy live with a highly anticipated headlining tour.
