The ‘Casino de Agriculture’ will host the first Exhibition of Antique Dealers from 6pm on Thursday the 2nd of May until 2pm on Sunday the 5th of May. Organised by the ‘Association of Antique Dealers of the Valencian Community’, this great exhibition and sale will be displaying pieces by artists such as Genaro Lahuerta, Joaquín Michavila and Nassio Bayarri, as well as decorative art pieces, antiques and Valencian ceramics dating from the Middle Ages to the 21st century. Additionally, there will be engravings, drawings, collector’s items and Valencian ceramics dating between the 15th and 20th century made by the ‘Valencian school’.
The main objectives the association are focusing on with this exhibition are the recovery, restoration, research and conservation of artistic heritage, while making a selection of these works of art accessible to the public. Similarly, the artists want to promote work aimed at the preservation of culture and heritage. The antique dealers of the Valencian Community want, with this event, “to highlight the importance of art and its artists, as well as the beauty and history behind it, with the utmost rigour and professionalism”. Antique dealers taking part include: Antiguart, antigüedades y restauración de Onteniente; Antigüedades Cortés de Líria, and many more.
The ‘Real Sociedad Valenciana de Agricultura y Deportes’, founded in 1859, and since joined by the ‘Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País’ and representatives of the university world continue to carry out numerous cultural activities to this day for the advancement of Agriculture, Industry and Arts.
