After the recent accomplishment of having the Quique Dacosta restaurant in Dénia placed in the top 15 according to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, the Quique Dacosta group has achieved a new milestone; 3 of its restaurants have been placed in the top 75 of the Opinionated About Dining’s top 150 European restaurants.

On the 18th of June 2024, at a gala held at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, the long awaited list created by the accredited Steve Plotnicky was announced. The Opinionated About Dining list ranked Quique Dacosta Restaurante, El Poblet and Deessa (Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid) as three of the 75 best restaurants in the continent. The event brought together influential personalities from the sector, including chef Rasmus Munk from the current number 1 restaurant in Europe, Alchemist.

The Opinionated About Dining list, which was born in 2003 from foodie Steve Plotnicky, is a prestigious classification that takes into account the opinion of around 7,500 voters. Three Michelin star chef Quique Dacosta stated that, “I am really happy for my team and the whole family that makes up the Quique Dacosta Group”, after learning about the ranking.

Dacosta has been collecting awards and recognition throughout his 35 years of professional experience in the kitchen; being awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts from the Spanish government…and being designated as the best businessman in the Spanish restaurant industry by the Spanish Royal Academy of Gastronomy… are just two examples of his significant success. Having three of his restaurants placed in the top 75 in Europe is yet another indicator of his immense talent.
