The prestigious ‘Opinionated About Dining’ list placed Quique Dacosta’s three Michelin star restaurants in the top 100 in Europe. At an event held in Madrid, Steve Plotnicki, the guide’s director, revealed the ranking including Dacosta’s restaurants: Quique Dacosta Restaurant, El Poblet, and Deessa.
“I feel tremendously proud and grateful for this unprecedented milestone”, said the three Michelin star chef after learning that three of his restaurants are positioned among the best in the continent.
The prestigious ‘Opinionated About Dining’ list placed Quique Dacosta’s three Michelin star restaurants in the top 100 in Europe. Quique Dacosta’s restaurant based in Dénia, Alicante, secured seventh place in the ranking, reaffirming its position as one of Europe’s finest. With the restaurant’s latest creation, Por Amor al Arte, the chef amazes diners with a gastronomic experience that extends beyond culinary boundaries.
The restaurant El Poblet in Valencia achieved 81st place, being the only restaurant in Valencia within the ranking. El Poblet is known for its innovative and local market cuisine coupled with a fine dining experience that is acclaimed by many.
Deessa at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid brought a pleasant surprise for Dacosta and his team. This two Michelin star restaurant, led by María Torrecilla and Guillermo Chávez, has quickly established itself among Europe’s top 100, just two years after opening. Its avant-garde proposal linked to the product in a unique and incomparable setting has achieved in a short time to stand out nationally and internationally.
With restaurants in Madrid, London, Valencia, and Denia, the acclaimed chef, recognized as Spain’s Best Entrepreneur in the culinary industry and honoured with the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts, reaffirms his prominent position after a successful 35-year career in the kitchen.
