Finnish double bassist and composer Kaisa Mäensivu , one of the most prominent emerging figures in contemporary jazz, will offer a unique concert in Valencia this Friday, July 4th at 8:00 p.m. at the Sedajazz venue. With a career marked by creativity and sensitivity, Mäensivu has conquered prestigious venues such as the North Sea Jazz Festival , Ronnie Scott’s in London, The Jazz Gallery in New York, and the Ljubljana Jazz Festival . Her virtuosity and charisma have led her to collaborate with artists such as Kurt Rosenwinkel , Seamus Blake , and Dave Kikoski.

Trained at the prestigious Sibelius Academy and with a master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music , Kaisa Mäensivu has been recognized with awards such as the Riga Jazz Stage and the “Rising Star” award at the Pori Jazz Festival .

The Sedajazz event will feature a top-level international quartet :
