The Turia Gardens in Valencia span around 10km, with cobblestone footpaths, orange trees, public restrooms, playgrounds, picnic areas, benches, and paved bike paths. The perfect place for runners, walkers, and bikers alike, the flat terrain offers an extensive expanse of beautiful scenery to enjoy during a stroll. Playgrounds dot the park for little ones, and benches line the paths for old and young to stop and rest or enjoy the park’s serenity. Outdoor fitness equipment such as stationary bikes, elliptical machines, and pull-up bars can be found throughout the park for public use.
The gardens run along the former Turia Riverbed and wind throughout the city of Valencia. The park was constructed by several urban planners and landscapers who wanted the gardens to recreate the original scenery of the river.
Visiting La Ciudad de Las Artes y Las Ciencias? The gardens offer spectacular views of the complex and are perfect for a relaxing visit before or after you stop by this emblematic part of Valencia.
The park is perfect for walking dogs, looking at wildlife, or even seeing a couple of friendly stray cats.
Turia Gardens does not have an official address per se but the postcode is 46003. Popular entrances include outside of El Corte Ingles in Penya-Roja, the Alameda metro stop, any of the historical bridges such as San José, Serranos, or Trinidad, and the Arts and Sciences complex. Technically, the gardens run from Mislata to the port area. They are said to be the longest, urban gardens in Spain.
