On 5 April 2025 at 10.30 am, at L’Esprit des Vins (7 cours du Maréchal De Lattre de Tassigny, Léognan – Bordeaux) an exceptional conference dedicated to the Holy Chalice of Valencia and the European Cultural Itinerary ‘The Way of the Holy Grail’ will take place. This event will count on the participation of two high-level speakers Philippe Estrade, a journalist by training, was the managing director of a company specialising in the the protection of sensitive sites in France. In the second half of his career, he has devoted himself to the development of inclusive companies for people with with disabilities. He is also deputy mayor of La Brède, Montesquieu’s home town, and is passionate about marathon running and mountaineering.
He is a contributor to Pluton Magazine, where he edits sections such as History of France, Great Civilisations and Portraits. He is the author of ‘21 Wonders in the 21st century’ and ‘A Sunday, a church’. Jean-Philippe Sendat, an aeronautical engineer with a degree from SupAéro Toulouse and a doctorate Cum Laude in Business Administration, combines his experience as an international entrepreneur with deep research vocation in symbolism, medieval architecture and spiritual traditions. Resident in Valencia (Spain), he is a member of the International Scientific Commission for the Studies of the Holy Grail and is actively working for the recognition of the Holy Grail Way as a European Cultural Itinerary before the Council of Europe.
Spreading the universal legacy of the Holy Grail in France
Both speakers will present the cultural, historical and spiritual importance of the Holy Chalice of Valencia, the object that has inspired literature, art and the European imagination for centuries. It was precisely this chalice, preserved in Valencia Cathedral, which inspired Chrétien de Troyes to write his emblematic Arthurian romance ‘Li conte del graal’ in the 12th century, considered one of the founding texts of Western literature.
This conference marks a key step in the dissemination in France of the universal value of the Holy Grail, as a symbol of inner search, knowledge and peace. The
French-speaking countries, heirs to a deep literary and spiritual tradition, are particularly , are invited to become actively involved in the development of the European Cultural Itinerary ‘The Way of the Holy Grail’, a project that links the history of Europe through the paths of knowledge, faith and culture.
