Gastronomy hub ‘Mi Cub’, situated inside the iconic ‘Mercado de Colón’, continues its dedicated mission to showcase regional Valencian products. Yesterday, the venue hosted an exclusive presentation highlighting two standout additions to the local wine landscape: Mestizaje Blanco 2025 and Pelaroques Bobal 2024. The event brought together local gastro-journalists and wine enthusiasts to celebrate the unique terroirs and sustainable viticulture defining the Valencian Community.
Mestizaje Blanco 2025: The first star of the presentation was Mestizaje Blanco 2025, a brilliant organic white wine produced by the renowned Bodega Mustiguillo. Crafted under the strict D.O.P. El Terrerazo designation, this wine is a masterclass in regional blending.
● The Blend: It combines the native Merseguera grape with Viognier and Malvasía.
● Profile: Attendees noted its vibrant pale-yellow hue, exploding with aromas of whiteflowers, stone fruits, and a distinct citrus crispness. On the palate, it offers a beautifully
balanced acidity and a clean, refreshing finish, positioning it as the quintessential white wine for the upcoming Mediterranean summer season.
Pelaroques Bobal 2024: The presentation shifted focus to the red category with Pelaroques Bobal 2024. Produced in the Utiel-Requena region, this wine treats the ancestral Bobal grape with immense respect using traditional methods to let the true character of the land shine through.
● Profile: Pelaroques 2024 presents an intense cherry-red color with violet rims. The nose is dominated by fresh red berries, wild herbs, and a subtle touch of spice. Unlike traditional, heavy oak-aged reds, this vintage leans into a juicy, fresh, and highly drinkable style with smooth tannins, making it incredibly versatile for casual tapas pairings. By bringing artisanal winemakers directly into the heart of the city, ‘Mi Cub’ provides a vital platform for preserving and promoting the agricultural heritage of the region.
