Espai Nord hosted a day of gastronomy and culinary culture to highlight the talent and community within the sector. This week, Espai Nord, located in the heart of the Alboraia orchard, hosted ‘Celebrating Stories,’ an event organized to mark the second anniversary of Cervezas Destino and Iris Montoya Comunicación. The gathering also served to pay tribute to the stories of suppliers, clients, collaborators, and professionals who form part of the Valencian gastronomic ecosystem.
The event brought together nearly 75 attendees and began with a presentation in which both brands reviewed their trajectory over these first two years, highlighting the relationships and projects built alongside the sector. Among them were Valencian gastronomy professionals such as Sandra and Elías from Mengem; José Luis and Martha from Clementina; Alba from Gallina Negra; and Alejandro and Juanjo from Fets, as well as gastronomic content creators like @chorbetedenaranja and @tastysouls_vlc, among other guests.
Following this, attendees enjoyed a guided tasting and pairing led by Cervezas Destino, an experience that allowed them to get closer to the philosophy and products of this craft beer brand made in Valencia. In addition to tasting its different varieties, participants discovered the stories and origins behind each beer. The day also featured a gastronomic area headlined by Croquetea, which offered a selection of croquettes in various flavours, and a pop-up by graphic designer Marta Lluesma, where some of her works and projects linked to the gastronomic universe could be discovered.
To close the event, attendees participated in an original gastronomic quiz that tested their knowledge of the sector. The winner was Miquel, from Papil•la, who received a box of local, seasonal products from another of the event’s collaborators, Arat Natura, as a prize. ‘Celebrating Stories’ was created with the aim of recognizing and sharing the stories that make gastronomy possible, bringing together professionals, producers, and communicators in a special setting like Espai Nord to celebrate the value of the community and the connections that arise around it.
