A TRIP TO ‘CENTRO OPTICÓ CLÍNICO LOSAN’ (EXPERT OPTICIANS)

In Valencia, I had the pleasure of visiting ‘Centro Opticó Clínico Losan’ to learn about the clinic and what they provide. The clinic is not new to the city and has been around for 26 years. There are two opticians / eye specialists and a staff of technicians, one of which speaks English fluently. All the staff is friendly, open and very concerned for your eye health.  I learned that Doña Esther Santillana is the head optician and optometrist and is committed to giving patients the absolute best care.

Each examination is a minimum of 20 minutes, a full workup not just for testing vision but for looking out for the eye´s internal health.  After I asked what the most important thing is people should know about the eye doctor, one of the technicians explained to me: “Because a lot of eye issues are hard to discover without the right equipment and professionals, it’s important that you get your eyes checked once a year”

Not only is the staff caring and considerate, but the practice has the only VX120+ machine in Valencia. It can examine the inside of your eye health to test for diseases like cataracts. This is just one way the Centro Optico Clinic Losan sets itself apart from other practices in the city.

The practice has high quality glasses frames and lenses, that they will custom fit into a pair of glasses for you by hand molding them, as well as a selection of sunglasses with UV protection from the sun. The practice also collaborates with a charity to send high-quality sunglasses to the Sahara, just one of their charity outreach programs. They also work with the Colegio Imperial Niños Huérfanos San Vicente Ferrer, a housing centre and school for orphaned children outside of Valencia.

From the beginning of my visit to the end, it was clear that this practice is focused on quality of care and the staff takes good care of the clients. There was a wide selection of glasses, eyecare products, and expertise available at the practice and I highly recommend it as a place to get your eyes checked by people who care and are seasoned experts.
