The Casino de Agricultura heads into its summer break after hosting more than 100 cultural events from January to July. These have included forums on law, science, current affairs, politics, bullfighting, music, the environment, literature, poetry, and art. The institution has welcomed 120 experts across these diverse fields, establishing itself as a hub for ideas, culture, and debate. It has also strengthened collaborations with other organisations and institutions, further extending its impact.
September will mark the beginning of a new season filled with exciting proposals. Highlights include the much-anticipated return of legal, scientific, political, current affairs, and bullfighting forums, along with reading and poetry clubs, art exhibitions, and new specialised courses in music, history, and general culture.
With its thematic diversity, intergenerational commitment, and dedication to social and charitable causes, including active participation in philanthropic initiatives and support for the wider community, the Sociedad Valenciana de Agricultura y Deportes continues to play a central role in Valencian civic life. For more than 150 years, it has stood as a beacon of knowledge, tradition, and modernity in service to society.
Founded in 1859, the Real Sociedad Valenciana de Agricultura y Deportes was created with the support of the Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País and representatives from the academic world to promote the advancement of agriculture, industry, and the arts. Today, it remains a vital cultural institution, maintaining relationships with 60 clubs across Spain and 40 abroad. Its headquarters on Calle Comedias offers members — both individuals and businesses — a vibrant meeting place, conference and event spaces, and a range of services.
