Alfonso Gil and César Toldrá publish with Editorial Sargantana ‘El mejor Valencia de la historia’, an inescapable book whose pages reflect the past, but are a look into the future through the recreation of the details of the cycle completed by what has been the best Valencia in the centenary history of the club. This is a team that made an entire fan base vibrate and imposed its sporting dominance in Spain and Europe in a period of unprecedented splendour.
In this sense, Alfonso Gil explains that “the book covers a fundamental period in the club’s history in which, with efficiency in the offices, three coaches of great ability and a plethora of exceptional footballers in terms of quality, involvement and professionalism, Valencia achieved a brilliance and notoriety that needs to be remembered and which keeps alive the flame of hope for a repeat”.
Likewise, César Toldrá details that “the work is an X-ray of the best Valencia in history made with the perspective that time gives and that reflects, through the analysis and experiences of the protagonists, great moments of success and joy not exempt from some disappointment that, far from tarnishing an unparalleled era, help to magnify it, even more so if it is seen from a present far removed from those feats”.
