As fans of the Valencia vs. Celta Vigo football game poured out of the Mestalla stadium, amongst the chants some might have heard Jason Faust and his band playing at the ‘Black Note Jazz Club’. An escapee from the cut-throat scene of Los Angeles, he now calls Valencia his home after studying here in order to enjoy the culture and lifestyle that Europe has to offer. Faust is his real name and a deal with the devil wasn’t made, at least that’s what he said. He cites Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire and Jamiroquai to name a few. He wears a crystal around his neck citing it as a means to self-empowerment within his music in order to manifest the energies that we desire for ourselves. Faust and his entourage will be hosting ‘space parties’ under his larger band ‘Astral Voyage’ every month from February 3rd at the Matisse Club promising a “space voyage experience”.
