LA OFICINA: THE NEWEST RESTAURANT IN RUZAFA BY CARITO & GERMÁN

With a menu designed to surprise and leave a mark, La Oficina has all the traits of your next favorite restaurant. Featuring a Mediterranean pantry, fire grill, and signature cocktails, with Carito Lourenço and Germán Carrizo, behind the controls, this new restaurant will surely leave you wanting more. Creativity isn’t told here, rather, it’s tasted. The opening of La Oficina marks the culinary couple’s fourth project in the heart of Ruzafa, and their freest culinary adventure to come. “We’ve long dreamed of a place like this, where each dish surprises, has a life of its own, and above all, leaves a lasting impression,” says the chef. The key ingredient behind much of this restaurant’s unique characteristics? Fire. Expert technique paired with fire really allows their  menu flourish at ‘La Oficina’. Indeed, this gifted couple have already earned a Michelin star for their Argentine-Mediterranean fusion ‘Fierro’ in the same barrio.

La Oficina has been completely renovated by ‘obÁL’ studio, in a place that once marked a turning point for the Ruzafa neighborhood. Now, the interior is warm and elegant, with earthy deep green tones, natural materials, and artisanal touches by Eugenia Boscá.

Lourenço and Carrizo are the public faces of the restaurant, but there is an entire team that has made the masterpiece come to life. María Ángeles Garbarino is the head chef in the kitchen, while Lucía Medina manages the dining room, and Jonas Van Eckelen and Sergio Franco round out the team in kitchen and service. Desserts are crafted by Carito, who also directs La Central de Postres, a key name in signature pastries.

Although the restaurant is not a cocktail bar, they still believe that every drink tells a story. The drink menu was designed by Iván Talens and blends creativity with versatility. Recognizable classics with a personal twist are featured on this hand-crafted menu. Drinks such as a Negroni Rosé, Bloody Sherry, México Lindo, Jaunita Spritz, and of course, Agua de Valencia!

“The table is a playground, we want you to experiment, to play,” says the restaurant. La Oficina is said to be not what you expect, but everything that you will remember.
