MARO is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Lisbon. A 2017 graduate of Berklee College of Music (Boston), the Portuguese artist made her official debut in 2018, and has released five albums plus an EP.She later joined Jacob Collier on his DJESSE World Tour 2019, as part of the band. Over the years, MARO has opened for many artists, including Jessie J, Charlotte Cardin and Téo? and has sold out shows in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Mexico and the USA. Maro has just released Hortelã (31 March 2023), bringing to life an intimate, stripped-down version of her most recent songs, in an acoustic folk vein, which is mostly in Portuguese. This album was recorded as a trio, with the Catalan guitarists Darío Barroso & Pau Figueres, who are accompanying her on her Spanish presentation tour, which begins in Barcelona and will also visit Valencia, Bilbao, Madrid and Santiago de Compostela.
