‘Orobianco’ celebrates a decade at the pinnacle of Italian gastronomy with a dinner with its first chef.

The current chef of the Calpe restaurant, Andrea Drago, welcomes the house’s first chef, Enrico Croatti, who also holds a Michelin star at Moebius, his restaurant in Milan. Together with Orobianco’s culinary director, Paolo Casagrande, the chefs will offer a special menu on June 17th that pays tribute to the restaurant’s past and present. During the anniversary evening, OB Rooftop will also have a separate cocktail bar: a Guest alongside Moebius, ranked 38th among the #50Bestbars.

Calpe (Alicante), May 28, 2025. The Orobianco restaurant , an undisputed benchmark of Italian and Mediterranean haute cuisine in Spain, is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a special four-handed dinner that will bring together the past and present of the Michelin-starred restaurant in Calpe. On Tuesday, June 17, Orobianco will welcome Enrico Croatti ( Moebius *), the restaurant’s first chef and a key figure in its journey towards the Michelin Star, who will offer a special dinner alongside Andrea Drago (Orobianco *), current head chef of the house, and Paolo Casagrande , Orobianco’s gastronomic director. Attendees will be able to taste an absolutely unique menu, executed by the confluence of these Italian talents, which will be a tribute to these ten years of success and evolution in the restaurant.

Orobianco arrives at the event at a great moment, having regained its star at the end of 2023, and at a time when culinary creativity is at its peak. With very limited seating , the special dinner will feature four sittings (7:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.) and a nine-course tasting menu, valued at €180 per diner. The experience will begin with a welcome section, celebrating the union of Italian and Mediterranean essences, after which dinner will begin in the restaurant’s dining room. The menu will bring together the best proposals from both chefs, Andrea Drago and Enrico Croatti, who also holds a Michelin Star at his Milan restaurant.

Meanwhile, up above…

In parallel with the anniversary dinner, but with separate service, Orobianco will open its exclusive OB Rooftop , a privileged space with panoramic views of the Calpe coast and the Peñón de Ifach. The summer terrace, which has been open to the public since May, will offer a unique cocktail experience tonight: a Guest cocktail with Moebius , ranked 38th among the #50Bestbars. For the occasion, both cocktail bars have designed a menu of eight signature cocktails , at a single price of 14 euros each. The menu will include four cocktails from Orobianco and four from Moebius. As usual, OB Rooftop will offer a kitchen service, to pair the offerings with informal dishes from its menu.

Those who wish to enjoy the terrace and cocktails can do so without attending the dinner, allowing everyone to join Orobianco, in one way or another, on this very special anniversary. Reservations for OB Rooftop are now open.

Ten years of high quality and gastronomic excellence

Since its opening in 2015, Orobianco has established itself as a benchmark for Italian haute cuisine in Spain, standing out for its fusion of culinary tradition and avant-garde gastronomy in a privileged setting overlooking the Mediterranean. That sea that unites Spanish and Italian culture on their respective shores. It’s worth remembering that the restaurant was opened under the direction of Italian chef Enrico Croatti , who already had a Michelin star at the Italian restaurant he previously worked for, Dolomieu. Croatti contributed his innovative vision and international experience, laying the foundations for a culinary offering that combined Italian essence with influences from the local pantry. Under him, Orobianco earned its first Michelin star in 2018 .

Subsequently, Chef Ferdinando Bernardi took over the kitchen leadership, successfully continuing the project. In 2023, the restaurant embarked on a new era with the addition of Paolo Casagrande as Gastronomic Director. Casagrande, also the chef of Lasarte , a Barcelona restaurant with three Michelin stars, has brought his experience and strategic vision to the project. Under his guidance, the talent of Andrea Drago , trained at Lasarte and with a solid international track record in the kitchen, has been leveraged. Drago has managed to put his personal stamp on the restaurant, combining Italian tradition with contemporary techniques and local products, which allowed Orobianco to regain its Michelin star in the 2024 edition, just ten months after his arrival. Both this recognition and the Repsol Sun were revalidated in 2025.

The Orobianco staff boasts their renewed Michelin star in 2025.

In addition to these prestigious awards, Orobianco has been included in the ranking of the best Italian restaurants outside of Italy, according to the 50 Top Italy guide , occupying 29th place in the 2025 edition, and consolidating its position as the best Italian restaurant in Spain . With a young and ambitious team, the restaurant continues to offer a high-quality gastronomic experience, in a location with unbeatable views. The exquisiteness of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine is reflected in every proposal , every dish and every service. Because Orobianco would not be possible without the dining room management of Inés Correia , the maitre d’ of the house, who, accompanied by a great team, performs an indispensable job of serving diners.

Finally, if there’s one person who has been the soul of the project, from the beginning to the present day, it’s Inna Skriabina , manager of Orobianco. She usually remains anonymous, but she’s the one who treasures the fondest memories of these ten years. “Because in ten years there’s everything. We’ve had moments of joy and sadness, of course. However, I can say that I’m very happy with Orobianco’s trajectory and with our present. Since the arrival of Paolo, Andrea, and Inés, everything has improved a lot. And that’s why I want to continue growing as a restaurant and as a group with new projects. Without a doubt, we’re enjoying Orobianco’s best moment ,” she concludes.

In fact, those projects are already here. Orobianco will continue its commitment to innovation and expansion, as demonstrated by the recent acquisition of the Barcelona restaurant Teatro Kitchen&Bar, which earned its first Michelin star under the guidance of chef Oliver Peña. Paolo Casagrande will assume the culinary direction of this new project, which guarantees the continuity of culinary excellence beyond the Valencian Community. On June 17th, Orobianco brings together the past, present, and future of this great restaurant, overlooking both shores. It will be an evening to remember in another ten years.
