As this year’s Christmas festivities drew to an end, people turned out in their thousands for the ‘Three Kings’ parade. Families lined the streets of Valencia’s city centre in anticipation for the parade to begin. There was fierce excitement amongst the children as they held on tightly to their plastic bags… as participants in the passing parade would be hurtling candy from their floats to the crowds of bystanders on the streets.

 “ Aqui, Aqui, Aqui,” screamed the children in an attempt to grab the attention of the participants throwing the candy. The colour and pageantry amongst the passing parade was absolutely stunning and very vibrant. It was clearly evident as regards the amount of work and effort that went into the various floats, dancers and musicians as they slowly passed by on the packed streets of Valencia.
