SAN MIGUEL LAUNCHES ITS ‘SEEKERS BOAT’ INSTALLATION IN VALENCIA TO LIVE THE AMERICA’S CUP EXPERIENCE

Until 20 July, ‘Seekers Boat’ can be visited free of charge at the events venue in Valencia’s Marina Norte. Visitors will be able to simulate being a crew member of the boat thanks to virtual reality, do beer tastings or enjoy its summer terrace, among other surprises. A surprising installation occupies the events area of Valencia’s Marina Norte, between the La Base and Veles e Vents buildings. It is the “Seekers Boat”, which invites us to live an immersive experience in the America’s Cup with Cervezas San Miguel and the New York Yacht Club American Magic Challenger sailing team. The installation, which is free of charge, can be visited until 20 July.

Visitors to the “Seekers Boat” will have the sensation of stepping directly into the America’s Cup. San Miguel has created several immersive experiences that can be visited in a circular route that will take them to live great emotions, such as becoming one of the crew members of the NYYC American Magic boat (through virtual reality glasses), they will learn everything behind the team and its cutting-edge technology, and they will have the chance to operate a sailing simulator in which participants will have to pedal in order to lift the foil. The experience culminates with an interactive tasting of the different San Miguel beers to enjoy with friends and to whet their appetite for the rest of the day on the summer terrace in the centre of the facility. To secure space, tastings can be booked on the brand’s website (https://www.sanmiguel.com/es/ocio/american-magic/).

In addition to the exhibition area, the “Seekers Boat” will have a terrace where you can relax and enjoy a beer paired with local produce, and a photo opportunity area to capture unique moments. In addition, during the evening, you can enjoy a projection of images of the New York Yacht Club American Magic on the outside of the boat installation, through an incredible Video Mapping. The Seekers Boat is open from 12 noon to midnight non-stop and admission is free.

San Miguel will visit different parts of Spain with this original project that links the world of sailing with the tradition of beer and that will be reflected in the “Seekers Boat”, a unique installation that will tour three cities on the Mediterranean coast: Malaga, Valencia and Barcelona, bringing the excitement of the America’s Cup to local communities of great importance to San Miguel before the big event.

The tour will continue in Barcelona, where it will have its last stop, it will be located in Plaza Cataluña, where it will be open to the public from 31 July to 6 August.

This event is inspired by those who seek extraordinary experiences and who have the restlessness as a driving force to always go one step further. Through the sponsorship of the New York Yacht Club American Magic, Cervezas San Miguel, with its international leadership, brings a world-class competition to places that normally would not have been able to enjoy all that the America’s Cup has to offer. And it does so by creating unique experiences inspired by the New York Yacht Club American Magic and the brewing tradition, which seek to awaken people’s curiosity and enrich their lives.
