El Trébol Gastronomic Club celebrates its first anniversary and presents a donation to FEDER (Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases). This is how the year has started today for the Casino de Agricultura, which, after the great feast of the Three Kings, is now back to normality in its calendar, which is full of projects! They are followed by Ricardo Ferris’ conference on Citizen Safety, the start of the Science Club, the wine tasting at Celler la Muntanya and the introduction to the next opera at the Palau de les Arts.

The El Trébol Gastronomic Club, led by Ana Puchades, Maribel Molins and Francisca Cebrián, celebrated its first anniversary with all its members with a very special lunch, as they handed over a donation collected during the pre-Christmas wardrobe to Almudena Amaya Rubio, a member of the board of directors of FEDER (Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases) in Valencia.

The conference by Ricardo Ferris on Citizen Safety organised by the Rotary Club Valencia Centro will be next Monday at 20:30h, as will the start of the Science Club activity with a colloquium talk on the current state of Alzheimer’s treatments, this time at 19:00h.  On Tuesday, the Oenophile Club begins its activities with a wine tasting of the latest wines from the winery Celler La Muntanya in Muro de Alcoi, and on Wednesday the introductory lecture on the opera ‘Rusalka’ by Antonín Dvořák, which will be given by Javier Monforte and which will be performed shortly at the Palau de Les Arts in Valencia.

In addition, students interested in Espacio Cultural’s art and film classes are also returning to the classrooms these days, as are the sevillanas classes and the introduction and awareness classes for listening to the great compositions of classical music. Not forgetting the games, as bridge, canasta and chess also resume their usual agenda.

The Royal Valencian Society of Agriculture and Sports was founded in 1859 and was joined by the Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country, as well as representatives of the university world for the “advancement” of Agriculture, Industry and the Arts. It continues today to carry out numerous cultural activities as well as having social correspondence with 60 clubs in Spain and 40 abroad. It has private members and companies that find a meeting point in its headquarters in C/ Comedias , as well as meeting rooms, conferences and different services.
