‘THE TERMINAL HUB’ WILL AWARD A CHALLENGE TO ENTREPRENEURS WHO WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD

Entrepreneurs and students with emerging and disruptive ideas can participate until November 7. Experts from IBM, IE Business School, Kaiho Capital and the UV Chair of Business Culture will be on the jury. Boosting talent and promoting technological solutions with social impact is the objective of The Terminal Hub (TTH) with The Terminal Challenge, an initiative that seeks to identify and support innovative technological projects in their initial phase. Aimed at recent graduates, master’s students, and entrepreneurs with emerging disruptive ideas, the challenge-competition is positioned as a gateway to the TTH entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering collaboration and raising awareness of new disruptive proposals. Experts from the University of Valencia, IE, the Chair of Business Culture, IBM, Zubi Group, Exponentia, Kaiho Capital, TIMPERS, Muppy, CEEI, Scooltic, and Voga will be on the jury.

The challenge winners will receive a series of key benefits to further their projects: a free office space for two team members at The Terminal Hub for 12 months, personalized mentoring from experts from organizations such as IBM, IE Business School, and the University of Valencia, as well as support in media, communications, and marketing. They will also receive priority access to the hub’s training, events, and activities, creating an ideal environment for the strategic development of their initiatives.

All participants who meet the requirements established in the rules will obtain exclusive advantages such as special discounts on flexible and fixed work spaces, as well as preferential access to activities within the hub‘s ecosystem. This allows even those who are not selected as winners to benefit from the innovative environment promoted by The Terminal Hub .

To participate, interested parties must present an early-stage technology project with a proven pilot that addresses current issues in areas such as health, education, the environment, energy, mobility, or inclusion. Registration is free and can be completed through the form available on the challenge’s official website. The link to the initiative’s website is www.theterminalhub.com/challenge. The required documentation includes the project’s pitch deck (a common presentation format for technology companies), functional evidence of the pilot project, and, optionally, a short video presentation of the entrepreneurial team.

A jury composed of leading figures from the technological and innovative ecosystem—including representatives from IBM, IE Business School, Kaiho Capital, Voga, and specialized funds—will be responsible for selecting the winning projects. Evaluation criteria will include the degree of innovation, technical and business viability, potential impact, the quality of the project’s presentation, and the team’s entrepreneurial profile.

The communication campaign will begin the week of October 13th through multiple channels such as the press, social media, newsletters, WhatsApp, and the institutional partners’ dissemination platforms. The final event to select the winning projects will take place on November 18th at The Terminal Hub , reinforcing its role as a meeting point for young innovation in Valencia.

With this initiative, The Terminal Hub reaffirms its commitment to emerging entrepreneurship, promoting the creation of real opportunities that connect talent, technology, and social impact in a space designed to transform ideas into high-potential projects.

“With this initiative, we reinforce our commitment to emerging talent linked to technology and innovation. The Terminal Hub has become the city’s business hub, and with this challenge, we want to promote disruption and projects in their earliest stages—a new way to support entrepreneurship and connect it with established corporations and companies,” says Francesc Pons, director of The Terminal Hub.

The Terminal Hub: The Home of Innovation in Valencia

The Terminal Hub is an innovation ecosystem that connects talent, technology, and investment from Valencia to the world, enabling ideas to meet opportunities. This connection doesn’t happen by chance; it happens because its mission is to create an environment where ideas not only develop but are also linked to real opportunities. Through a carefully designed network, it connects people, companies, and institutions, and creative impulses find community, purpose, and resources to grow. And all with the help of the “Hubbers”: from large corporations like IBM, the Chamber of Commerce, the Instituto de Empresa, or Zubi Labs to digital nomads, freelancers, and emerging startups. All linked to technology, entrepreneurship, talent, or investment, they are at the heart of the model that drives a digital and connected economy that shapes Valencia’s future with a global reach.
