WHAT’S ON: 26TH – 28TH JANUARY (VALENCIA)

Things begin to warm up, Spain begins to move out of its hibernation, albeit still a little slow from its winter stasis, but the signs of life are there! This weekend in Valencia is no exception. See below for ‘24/7 Valencia’ best picks for this weekend.

Friday 26th January

Saturday 27th

For fans of artichokes, the not to be missed event in your calendar will be the artichoke festival taking place in Benicarló this Saturday and Sunday. Live entertainment and of course artichokes prepared in a variety of ways. On the 27th and the 28th at Les Arts Valencia there will be a performance of ‘CAL·LÍOPE’, an interpretative piece drawing influence from the Greek muse famed for her voice, in a play exploring the origins of music from prehistoric times to the present day. Sunday 28th

The Valencia Language Exchange is offering a 7-9km hiking tour to the beautiful Sierra de Albarracín which would see you walking along the canyon of the ‘blanco’ river.
