Fairs and markets

The Medieval fair will return to Valencia this July, with a celebration of mediaeval Moors and Christians organised by the Marítimo Moors and Christians Group of València. From the 4th to the 7th of July, the Las Arenas area on the seafront will be filled with craft stalls, gastronomy, performances and parades shrouded in history. Every Friday throughout July and August the Flamenco Market will be held at La Marina de las Salinas. From 7pm until midnight every Friday, there will be a plethora of clothes, jewellery and craft stalls to browse, as well as music and flamenco performances. Music  

From July 2nd to July 23rd, a lineup of 25 national and international artists will perform in the Jardines de Viveros as part of the 2024 Conciertos de Viveros. Goran Bregovic, Serbian musician and film composer will be performing alongside other artists as part of the Karavan Planet Festival on the 26th of July. Festival Karavan Planet spans over 2 days and will be a weekend full of music and celebration, located in the Jardines de Viveros, welcoming artists from different countries and cultures, promoting musical diversity.

The Benicàssim Rototom Sunsplash Reggae Festival will take place from the 16th to the 21st of August. The festival is appropriate for all ages, and it will host 18 separate areas where you can enjoy the exciting lineup of musicians as well as workshops, talks, and activities. The Festival Internacional Benicàssim is a weekend music festival which will arrive in the beach town of Benicàssim on the 18th of July. The line-up includes iconic bands such as The Black Eyed Peas, The Vaccines, Milky Chance, The Libertines and many smaller and up and coming artists. At the end of August, the open-air music festival KALORAMA will come to Madrid. Held at the IFEMA exhibition centre from August 29th to August 31st, the festival will host many international artists including LCD Soundsystem, Massive Attack, Raye and Sam Smith. Food

Valencia will be hosting, from June 28th to July 7th the incredible gastronomic event, ‘Gastro League’ at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia. This event is the largest food competition on wheels, where food trucks will battle, presenting their best flavours and creative recipes – but it’s not just a competition – the event will also include live cooking demonstrations, games zones, resident DJs, live performances, contests, raffles and so much more!

Art 

Painting pottery in the park is back again! Run by ceramics group ‘Yo, Salu & La Ceramica’, on the 6th of July, from 11am to 1pm, you’ll be able to get involved in painting your own ceramics piece, surrounded by nature and other craft enthusiasts in the Turia Park!

Experience a guided cultural walk focusing on art, architecture and design while exploring the city of Valencia, with Valencia Art & Design walks from the 12th of July to the 12th of December. The itinerary includes a wide range of art galleries, such as the Galería Cuatro, Galería Benlliure, House of Chappaz, and the Set Espai D’Art.
