The Cinema Jove festival takes place annually in Valencia, and is a forum for young international filmmakers to meet and to showcase international cinema directed by young people. The festival will showcase films from young budding directors, but also classic films in a non-competitive section such as The Dead Poets Society and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. The Film screenings will be held at various locations across Valencia including the historic Centre del Carme. See the full schedule and buy tickets here: https://www.cinemajove.com/en/schedule/

OUTDOOR EVENTS

The long awaited San Juan festival will come to Valencia this weekend, where you can enjoy a night of bonfires, sea dipping and partying on the beaches of Malvarrosa and Cabanyal. On the evening of the 23rd of June, Valencians will flock to the beaches at 6pm to collect firewood from the city council, light bonfires and start a night of celebrations. The traditional festival celebrates the birth of Saint John the Baptist, and marks the beginning of summer.
