“One of One” is the title of an exhibition full of purpose and sensitivity. Desampa Lillo, well known in the Valencian fashion world and muse of Francis Montesinos, Enrique Lodares, and Juan Andrés Mompó, began her career in art just three years ago and has already participated in twenty exhibitions. Now, in Las Cervezas del Mercado de Colón, she pours all her intention to speak about feelings with the public, and she does so through the way she has ultimately best expressed everything she carries within her: collages, always unique and special.
Her work weaves together—on baryta paper, wood, or canvas, whether analogue or digital—a world that gravitates between black and white and overwhelming color, the human and the magical, the architectural and the animal, the organic and the material. Ultimately, all the pieces generate a highly visual universe, almost like poetic prose, and are entirely reflective. By blurring boundaries, the viewer’s imagination leads them to interpret according to their moment, generating conflicting yet harmonious feelings.
Heads that transform into branches, torsos that merge with buildings or limbs that seem to emerge from impossible landscapes are some of the elements that define her artistic language. Fashion, so present in this artist’s life, is inevitably reflected in each work. The fragility of body and soul, the memory of spaces and their symbolism, the timelessness of some designs, and the carefully selected textures, sometimes layered to generate a striking visual dynamism, are the hallmarks of collages that move beyond the simple joining of pieces, going far beyond and reaching beyond.
“For me, the success of these last three years has been achieving that people experience my creations and working to perfect that unique communication,” explains this Valencian graduate in Arts and Crafts, who has worked in modelling, created an agency, restored furniture, rescued animals, and performed in theater. However, when it seemed her career was coming to an end, she reinvented herself by creating collages, and success has followed her in such a short time, having exhibited in 18 spaces in Madrid, Torrente, Catarroja, Benaguacil, and Valencia, in places like La Rambleta.
Titles such as “The Hands of the Architect,” “Hair in the Wind,” “Cello to the Universe,” “Chiaroscuro,” “Bonita Guardia,” “Ideas Escape,” and “La Revoltosa” suggest this poetic prose in original works. Of particular note is a limited edition of “Abu Feliz.”
Bierwinkel
Since 1992, Bierwinkel has been the leading importer and distributor of European beers in Spain, selecting the most iconic beers of all types, fermentations, colors, alcohol content, formats, and origins from each country, bringing them closer to our culture and raising awareness of them.
Back in 2002, Bierwinkel created its own Finest Beers Selection, joining forces, expertise, and expansion guarantees with the Belgian brewery John Martin, SA. In 2010, the German breweries Dinkelacker and Sanwald joined forces with the Belgian breweries Huyghe, Bosteels, and Belgoo Beer. A few years later, the Het Anker and Chimay breweries joined forces to consolidate and expand this unique and select brewing joint venture for Spain. They are also working intensively on the introduction and marketing of craft beers from the Valencian Community. A good example of this has been the development and implementation of the Valencian Craft Beer® concept.
